In Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions you’ll be playing the role of an elite undercover squadron called Operation Wildcard. Working for the American government, your mission is to foil the Third Reich’s plans to develop a weapon of mass destruction. That mission will take you to places all over the world. Including; Moscow, China, Baltic Seam, Rome, the Swiss Alps and the Himalayas. In the demo you start out over Egypt. Where the German forces were attempting to parachute tanks into the city pf Cairo. The first objective was to make sure that no more than 15 tanks made it down safely while fighting off attacks from enemy fighter pilots. The city below was larger and more detailed then any of the locations from last years game.
Besides the very much improved visuals, a feature that really stood out was the arcade-style scoring system that awards you prestige points every time one of your wingman takes down an enemy. You can also preform stunts to get points. Like flying fast and low to the ground or by going under a low bridge. Another new feature is Blazing Angels 2 new boss battles. At the end of the Cairo mission the boss was a enormous zeppelin that dwarfed the nearby Great Pyramid. The zeppelin is certainly bigger than anything you’d have expected during world war ll. Between levels you will have an opportunity to spent your prestige points on a number of different upgrade options, such as many different gun turrets or tougher armor and things like that. Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions is due for release in August 08.
