Scheduled for release in September, Clive Barker’s Jericho is a squad-based first-person shooter game also you will be required to destroy and ancient evil that is threating the world in multiple time zones. At first glance you could be forgiven for thinking that Clive Barker’s Jericho is a little more than a garden-variety shooter with especially dark visuals, but the various abilities of the squad members promise to really it apart from the crowd.You only “die” in Jericho if your entire squad (bearing in mind that, at times, you might only be playing with two or three characters) is incapacitated, so as long as you have one character who’s able to move around and reach his or her fallen colleagues, there’s a chance that you can have everyone back up on their feet in no time. Healing incapacitated characters requires you to do nothing more than stand next to them and push a button which, even with enemies doing their best to stop you. Occasionally computers will heal each other.

Actually, as ugly and as intelligent as many of Clive Barker’s Jericho’s enemies look it’s the survival events that will hurt you the most. Survival events aside,Time to move on. Jericho’s controls (at least on the Xbox 360) are standard as far as squad-based shooters go.

Hot Pixel has a Wario Ware Like gameplay, except the gameplay options include: story mode which tasks you with playing through ten themed chapters, a theater mode which let’s you pick and choose the minigames you want to play individually and a playlist mode which let’s you create iPod-style “smart” playlist of the best levels that you’re best at or need practice. A big part of the minigames is figuring out what you’re supposed to do the first time you play. One of the boss levels are based on a classic arcade game. One a breakout-style game played on the side of a skyscraper an colorful organic-looking Asteroid clones.

The story certainly doesn’t pull any punches. You’ll once again take up the part of tough-as-nails secret agent Gabe Logan. This time around he’s been dispatched to board the USS Mt. St. Helen, which has been overtaken in the middle of the Indian Ocean by a terrorist named Bitar. Bitar seems to be after some undisclosed sensitive cargo stored in the bowels of the ship–but Gabe’s contact in Washington, a smarmy pencil pusher named Cordell, won’t cop to the nature of that cargo. A major character dies in the first mission (I won’t say who), after which Cordell assumes control of Gabe’s unit and raticallt shuts it down col–but not before taunting him with photos of his longtime partner Lian Xing, photos that suggest she’s betrayed the team. Needless to say Gabe isn’t happy.

In additional to the traditional shooting and stealth action, the game’s second mission provides a good vehicle for showing off the new underwater gameplay. The US Military scuttles the MT. ST. Helens at the end of the first mission, but you’ll have to head right back to the site of wreckage in mission two, diving down to try to discover what was so important on board that ship.

i want to buy one or the other and i find that in terms of games they are as expensive (ebay) as each other. if i was to buy an xbox 360 i would want the premium which i can get for around 550 dollars if i was to buy a Playstation 3 i would want the 60GB for around 750 dollars which should i choose? i can pay the money on an xbox 360 easilly but the ps3 requires alot of saving
