In Mass Effect you play the role of Commander Shepherd. Who’s history, gender, appearance and skills are all customizable. After creating your version of Commander Shepherd, your adventure brings you aboard the Normandy. Which is a spaceship that serves as your mobile base throughout the game. As you walk around the Normandy you’ll see everyone is going about their business. This helps create an illusion that you’re about to go into a living, breathing universe. Characters you outrank will salute to you as you walk by.

Listening to everyones conversation is pretty important. Some could be noteworthy.

Do you (whatever your name is) agree to save pinatas from being filled with candy then being bust into pieces. If so buy Viva Pinata for Xbox 360. In Viva Pinata you make a garden to attract different species of Viva Piñatas (I think there is a few more than 30 species but I’m not sure). But you’ll find during the first few hours in Viva Pinata isn’t so great. Different species find there way to your piñata paradise while it’s still a work in progress. Attracting pinatas to your garden isn’t to hard but you have to convince them to stay. And hopefully romance their way into parenthood.

But that’s only the beginning, your garden has to be an ecosystem and supply the games currency, chocolate coins.

In Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back you have real world weaponry and aplombs that let you blow the heads, arms and legs off your opponents. In fact the new engine used can model the break points on opponents’ bodies. An example, If you blow a leg off your opponent it separates into a foot, ankle, lower leg and two thigh sections. And head shots don’t just kill the enemy the bullet also causes the head to burst and blood comes out rapidly. If this sounds a bit gore, it’s just the way Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back rolls.

Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back’s story goes like this. You and your partner have been contracted to head to the middle east and retrieve a Chinese government official in possession of sensitive intel and escort him to safety.

Scheduled for release on Halloween, Dementium: The Ward is a first-person shooter horror survival game. Set in a derelict hospital. Who your character is in Dementium: The Ward isn’t really clear. Dementium: The Ward starts out with you waking up in a hospital room soaked in blood. And the only items are a key to the door and a notebook with
“Why did you do it?” written in it. You’re free to erase this somewhat disturbing message and also to use the notebook for yourself. Which would be very useful considering there is many puzzles in the game. Other useful items can be found within moments of waking up.

Which includes a flashlight and a nightstick. The flashlight isn’t only for wandering around the dark hospital, but is useful for warning away harmful swarms of cockroaches.

Thrillville is back on good amount of platforms too. Since your here for roller coasters Thrillville: Off the Rails has a larger amount of roller coasters than ever. And don’t forget you customize your roller coaster amusement park! But to keep your amusement park running , you’ll need customers. Instead of having to do virtual paper work (ohh what fun) to see what all they need, just simply walk up and ask them. Building roller coasters for your amusement park is gonna be super fun.

The original Thrillville included minigames such as top-scrolling planes and spanning shooters, Thrillville: Off the Rails decided to step up with up to 34 minigames instead of 20. They used the old but added 14 new!

The title may be very weird but you haven’t even read about it yet! This compilation from Valve Software will serve up Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episodes One and Two, the class-based multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2, and the slick puzzle game Portal. The Orange Box will ship on October 10, and Valve along with publisher EA gave us a chance to experience its many different components. Half-Life 2 was one of the most acclaimed and successful PC games of 2004, and while t was ported to the Xbox in 2005 the performance struggled on that last generation system. Half-Life 2 continues the adventures of series hero Gordon Freeman, and you won’t need to have played the original Half-Life in order to understand what’s going on. That’s probably a good thing.

When Valve finished work on Half-Life 2, everyone expected the company to eventually work on Half-Life 3. Instead, Valve announced that it was going to make a trilogy of episodes that would follow-up Half-Life 2. Episode One shipped last year, and Episode Two will debut in the Orange Box, so we’re only two-thirds of the way through the trilogy at this point.
