Since this is a guitar game, strumming is very important. You can hold you’re ds different ways. Such as against your shoulder or at your waist or just regular. The touch screen of the DS allows you to strum up and down. The harder you strum the louder it is and the softer you strum the quieter it is. You mainly strum with your stylus but you could with your finger or a guitar pick for that authentic feeling. Though we highly recommend not destroying your ds screen. Once you have the strumming part down, you’ll need to use it in conjunction with the D-pad to go to different chords. Thankfully if you’ve never picked up an instrument the game has guides for new comers. Jam Sessions is surprisingly easy to pick up and play. And even if you don’t have a single musical bone in your body you’ll still be able to make good music on here!

Jam Sessions features a great mix of tracks from well-known artist. Such as Nirvana, Avril Lavigne, Death Cab for Cutie, Blind Melon, Coldplay, and Bob Marley. There are also three unlockable tracks from James Taylor/Marvin Gaye, Brad Paisley, and Cheap Trick. Death Cab For Cutie is one of the better beginner songs.

Much like the first Mario Strikers, You start off choosing a team captain from the basic mario characters. Wario, Bowser, Peach, Daisy, Luigi and of course Mario. There are 12 captains in all . Each with unique stats and moves. Once you have your team captain, you choose 3 teammates from the lesser mario characters. Such as Shy Guy, Yoshi, Birdo and so on. Of course they’re not quite as powerful as the team captains. While someone like Boo could transport the ball right past the goalie. And Hammer Bros. could toss a bunch of hammers at the goalie. But the Team captains they’re a whole different ball game.

When you hold down B long enough a golf swing meter will appear. This meter reaches six, but it’s not you’re power of the kick it actually determines how many balls you kick.
Once the meter is set your team captain leaps into the air and kicks the ball. Up to four people can play, Online or off line.

Evil Genius is a real-time strategy game. In which you can choose from three different villains to play as. Each has it’s own strengths and weaknesses. Also you must construct your underground hideout to plan your plot on how to bring the world on there knees before you. The game introduces great cartoon like graphics and images. Describing “James Bond” era of 1970’s. Most of the animations of your traps agents and minions are pretty smooth though. The game play test how good of a mastermind you are and how good your patience is. Some points in the game it gets frustrating. Room Planning consists of planning ahead in creating the various different types of rooms and connecting corridors. As there a not so limited space for your underground base, planning rooms and placing such rooms in relation to distance and use is essential in creating an efficient and effective working area.

Minions carry out your evil schemes for you. Trap System Planning is basically your primary and almost only defense against enemy agents from wandering in and out of your base with information you’d rather not let them have leaving the island alive. The enemies are simple investigator agents, to thieves, saboteurs, soldiers and ultimately the feared enemy Super Spy.

As the Allied forces broke out of the Normandy beaches and the fight for France began, American tank crews quickly recognized what they were gonna be up against. To their dismay and horror, the American Sherman tank-crews soon learned how inadequate and inferior their tanks were, especially while battling Germany’s latest model tanks. The Americans were out-gunned and out-armored by the far superior German tanks. The only thing the American tanks had going, was the fact that they were quicker, more maneuverable and far more dependable. The Allies had a bigger number of tanks, stronger artillery and air support. German colonies were constantly harassed from the sky as American Thunderbolts and British Typhoons rained horror upon them.

Soon Star Wars fans will be playing the newest game from the Star Wars series called “The Force” with state of the art graphics and cinematic sequences. Lucas Arts is currently focusing on console gaming, so it’s still unknown if this game will make it to PCs or stay with Xbox and Playstation gaming systems (perhaps Wii as well). France might not see eye to eye with the United States current foreign policy, but France-based publisher Ubisoft obviously sees no reason not to distribute America’s Army. Ubisoft today announced it would be bringing America’s Army: True Soldier to the Xbox 360 this September. True Soldier marks the second console iteration of the US Army’s recruitment-minded tool since Ubisoft struck a deal to publish the wargame back in 2004.
In an accommodating act, Ubisoft has tapped military-minded Red Storm Entertainment to develop True Soldier. Red Storm’s latest credits include Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Portable. Red Storm and the US Army are hoping to create an authentic, real-world experience in True Soldier, and the Ubisoft-owned developer will be bringing over its GRAW2 engine to help see that happen.

True Soldier will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes. Players can expect to assume the role of a rifleman, grenadier, automatic rifleman, and sniper as they progress their careers in the single-player campaign.

EA powerhouse series has continued to evolve over the years, and its latest form for the Nintendo Wii is yet another interesting take on the virtual-life genre. This time around, instead of creating a family from scratch, you will be tasked with reinvigorating a downtrodden town to its previous glory. That said, there will be an amazing amount of customization to MySims, which we discovered during our hands-on look at the game at EA’s E3 hotel suite.

Although the remainder of 2007 is jam-packed with releases, a couple of games stand out from the madding crowd. One of those is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the next installment in the previously World War II-focused series. Most recently touted at the E3 Media & Business Summit, the game’s viscerally intense depiction of two fictional 21st-century wars has generated more than a little interest.With the question of “if” answered for many prospective Call of Duty 4 buyers, the issue now is “when.” According to Eurogamer, a clue arrived this week at a London “press event,” where an unnamed “senior brand manager” apparently “let the news slip” that the game is coming out in the UK on November 9. The site claims that UK activision reps would only “confirm” the release date as “winter,” and Eurogamer “didn’t” get into any “further detail.” But if it were true, the date would all but confirm that Call of Duty 4 would arrive stateside on November 6 or November 13–the two Tuesdays that buttress the aforementioned Friday. (Games are most often released on Tuesdays in North America.)Eurogamer’s sources aren’t exactly concrete, and US Activision lips were sealed.

So why does an early November release for Call of Duty 4 seem completely plausible? First, the game looked about done at Microsoft’s press conference at E3. Secondly, every Call of Duty game has been released in late October or early November. Third, the game is already in beta in North America. Fourth, online retailers such as GameStop are listing the game as coming out the first week in November.

In Mario Party 8 the Star Carnival rolls into town, and MC Ballyhoo, (the main host) along with Big Top, Ballyhoo’s talking top hat, challenges everyone to the “Star Battle” which the winner is crowned Superstar and wins a year’s worth of candy with a relic called the Star Rod. Bowser comes along to steal the Star Rod, and it is up to the player to save the Star Carnival. New characters Blooper and Hammer Bro have been added to the character roster making 14 playable characters. There are many mini games in Mario Party 8. Once again, no mini games from previous editions appear. There are 8 types of minigames in the game: 4-P, 1 vs. 3, 2 vs. 2, Battle, Duel, Challenge, Extra, and Last. The controls range from pressing a button repeatedly to using the control stick and buttons. There are no Bowser minigames, unlike the previous installments in the series, however, there is a minor Donkey Kong minigame.There are many mini games in Mario Party 8. Once again, no mini games from previous editions appear.

The rules specific to these different boards could’ve injected some much-needed strategy to the action, if the game just would’ve let them, but fortunes still reverse so severely and so easily that any planning seems futile.Perhaps even more disappointing than the same-old structure of Mario Party 8 is its lackluster presentation. The Mario Party games have never looked particularly amazing, and have relied on the strength of its cast of characters and a real air-horn level of enthusiasm to make up the difference. Mario Party 8 is certainly loud in multiple senses, with a garish color palette and a stomping, blaring marching-band soundtrack, but the visual fidelity hasn’t been improved at all in the move from the GameCube; in some ways, it actually looks worse now.
