Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicle for Wii can be played with the Nunchuk in the left hand and the Wii remote in the right hand. But it’s best played with the plastic gun peripheral. This molded piece of plastic holds the Wii remote in the gun barrel and the Nunchuk where the handle is. Sure this solution sound very simple but it works well. And you have a surprising amount of control at your fingertips. You aim by moving the gun and fire with the trigger. Kinda like real life. But what else should you expect from the Wii.

And you can pick up items using the C button, change weapons using the D-pad and to reload you shake the gun.

Since the game is on rails you have no control over your character’s movements, but you can look around a bit with the analog stick. When zombies attack you you can use the handgun to fend them up. It’s helpful that your aiming reticle glows when it’s over a zombies weak spot. Not only does it allow you to kill them faster but it saves ammo. Your handgun actually has unlimited ammo but other weapons have limited ammo.But not all of your weapons fire bullets. The knife you can use to fend off enemies that have attached themselves to you. You can do this by holding down the C button. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicle is due for release this December.
