In SimCity Societies you’re the mayor of your city built the infrastructure and the public services for a city. Like police stations and schools, not to mention land for different use like commercial, residential or industrial. Your virtual citizens do all the rest. Like deciding on what types of buildings and businesses to do build in the space you designated. It’s very urban simulation. SimCity Societies offers up a different gameplay, but it is more of a city-building game since you are immediately involved.

If before SimCities let you play as a “hands off” mayor you’ll have a lot of work in SimCity Societies.
If you are a SimCity veteran it may take you a while to get used to SimCity Societies since many concepts have changed or been thrown away altogether. And there is no more zoning. Which is probably the biggest change. Now there’s the idea that you have to balance six different energies in your city; authority, creativity, knowledge, productivity, prosperity and spirituality. And you will have to build power plants to produce electricity. SimCity Societies has hit the shelfs so don’t just sit here go get it.
