xbox 360.it can play movies,songs and music.you can play cds,audio devices or stream from your computer!has a great online play if you buy it.and the new elite has a 120 g. hardrive!!!
ps3 is awesome. just friggin awesome. plus if they ever try to do a marketing stunt like xbox you dont need to buy a new one because u can just pop in a bigger hd. also if you have a psp and a ps3 so sweet. their trying to implament it like the game cude and the ds. also remote play. i could go on and on. cant reallytsay anyhting about xbox, just dont like it. only thing ill be buying from microsoft is the iphone, atleast if it has video recording capabilitys. also as you said home is going to be amazing. you can use your ps3 to rip cds and from there put them on your psp. you can use your memory stick duo on you ps3 to play the songs/movies on your tv. you can dl pics from your psp to your ps3 and use them as backgrounds. it goes on and on. ive had my ps3 from day 1 and i dont regret getting it. well worth the 645 and 14 hour pre order sale day wait. also the blu-ray disc it self is retardedly big 120gigs on one disc. in the coming year ps3 games are going to be so massive that its not even funny. the reason people say xbox 360 games are better is because the developers dont have new technology to try to understand and implament.

hmm tough choice. The PS3 is newer but i will have to say that the Xbox 360 is better

Xbox 360 elite, I have the regular xbox 360 and it’s awesome. I have tried the Ps3, but I don’t like it as much. Also, one person said that HD-DVD only does 720p, but that’s not true at all. HD-DVD can in fact do 1080p. I have one. (Also, in my opinion HD-DVD is actually superior to blu-ray)
If you like video games definitely get the xbox 360, ps3 does not have many good games right now at all. It will get some, but most of the best ones are also for xbox 360 as well.
Ps3 seems more like a media center than a game system. The new feature you mentioned “home” does look cool and there is a game coming out only for it called “little BIG planet”, where you get to make your own physics-based level, and share it with your friends. (if you already knew about it, my bad…)
Other than that, (and the blu-ray player) I don’t really see a reason to buy a Ps3 over an xbox 360 elite.
Although, I am on my second xbox 360 (first one stopped working because of an origional xbox download.), the repair process took a little over a week, so it was worth it.
Don’t even make a comparison between the Elite 360 and the 60G PS3. Sony messed up big with the PS3 and don’t support them by wasting money on their console. Even the $300 360 is better than a 60G PS3. If you have the money for an expensive console totally go for the Elite but know that it’s meant for people who want to download a lot of stuff on to their 360. Don’t shell out an extra $100+ if you’re not even gonna use the upgraded features.
